More about Baltimore Chessies
In
1994 I bred my second litter this time out of May and by Chesepi Amigo Mio
WD the Top Stud dog for the breed for several years who also had a Field
Trial award, a Multi Best of Breed and Best of sex winner including
Best of Breed and twice Reserve Best of Breed at Crufts.
From this litter I kept Baltimore High Flyer 'Billy' he
was an exceptional Show dog, and in 2001, the year he retired from the show
ring due to a recurring shoulder injury he was never beaten by a male at
any of the shows he attended.
Billy loved to work as much as show and he is my constant companion now.
Since 1993 here at Baltimore we have bred 7 litters
mostly going to working homes but some to family homes.
At Baltimore since the Chesapeake is primarily a Working Gundog,
Temperament, Working Ability and good Conformation are our main
priorities.
The Chesapeake is not a breed for everyone, they are very intelligent, do
like to do things their own way, but, if you want a good WORKING dog that
hasn't lost the ability to also think for itself then maybe, just maybe
it's the dog for you!! |
